Stage & couple's entry
A stage designed for photographs and a planned entry for the couple, with lighting and music cues.

Weddings
The evening you meet everyone, planned so that you can.
Overview
A reception is the largest and most public event of most Indian weddings, and it has one recurring problem: a queue of four hundred guests waiting to go on stage for a photograph. We plan receptions around flow — where guests enter, how they reach the couple, when dinner opens and how the entertainment keeps the evening from stalling. The couple spends the night greeting people, not managing a crowd.
We work with banquet halls, hotel ballrooms, lawns and resorts across Dehradun and beyond, handling stage and décor, lighting, catering, entertainment, gift counters and valet. For receptions hosted by the groom's family after a destination wedding, we also manage the welcome for the relatives and colleagues who could not travel for the ceremony itself.
What's included
A stage designed for photographs and a planned entry for the couple, with lighting and music cues.

Menu design and tastings, counter layouts, service staff ratios and bar management.

The process
We agree the guest count, format and tone — formal dinner, festive party or both.
A to-scale plan of stage, dining, bar and entertainment zones, with décor and lighting design.
Catering and bar confirmed, staff ratios fixed and a stage schedule drafted by family group.
Our team runs arrivals, stage flow, dinner and departures, and closes the gift desk with the family.

We schedule photo slots by family group and announce them through the evening, with a coordinator at the stage steps to keep things moving. Guests are not left standing in line through dinner, and the couple gets breaks.
Often it is — a destination wedding in Rishikesh followed by a reception in Dehradun or Delhi for the wider circle. We plan both together so décor, photography and guest lists stay consistent.
For a seated or semi-seated dinner we plan one server per 10-12 guests; for buffets, one per 20-25 plus counter staff. We confirm these numbers with the caterer in writing rather than leaving them to the day.
Yes, serving alcohol at a private event typically needs a temporary licence from the excise department, usually arranged through the venue or bar partner. We make sure it is applied for in time and available on the day.
Client stories
I wanted a reception that felt like a Punjabi winter night: warm, loud and golden. Ananya's team built it with brass lanterns, a marigold ceiling and heaters tucked beside every table. Kabir looked after the live singer's travel and stage requirements and still had the lighting ready before the first guest walked in. My dadi danced for an hour.
Simran KaurWedding Reception, Dehradun
My sangeet had 22 performances, a small army of cousins and one very nervous father. The Shrim team ran rehearsals to a proper timetable, did the sound check twice, and got the DJ to switch to old Kishore Kumar songs the moment the elders took the floor. It was the most fun night of the whole wedding.
Neha SharmaWedding, Dehradun
Four hundred guests, two caterers and a baraat that arrived forty minutes late. Tushar handled it all calmly and kept the pheras on muhurat. The food was excellent and reached the last table hot. My only small complaint is that I would have liked the final invoice a little sooner. Otherwise, I could simply be a father that day.
