Ritual setup
Chowki, haldi bowls, kalash and seating arranged to the family's custom, with the pandit's requirements confirmed in advance.

Weddings
Turmeric, marigold and morning light, with the mess planned for.
Overview
A haldi looks spontaneous, but the good ones are planned in detail. The paste is prepared to the family's recipe, the chowki is placed where the light is kind, the flooring can take turmeric and water, and clean towels and a change of clothes are waiting. We design haldi mornings that feel open and playful while keeping the ritual at the centre — the elders first, the siblings next, the chaos last.
We work in homes, lawns, resort poolsides and courtyards across Dehradun and the hills. Genda phool décor, yellow drapes, dhol or a folk band, a brunch menu and a photographer briefed on the moments that matter. If there is a pool, we plan the splash; if there is not, we plan around the white sofas.

Chowki, haldi bowls, kalash and seating arranged to the family's custom, with the pandit's requirements confirmed in advance.

Protected flooring, washable seating, towel stations and a change area so guests are not left stained and uncomfortable.
Paste prepared to the family recipe, plus petal baskets for a phoolon ki holi if you want one.
Dhol players, a folk ensemble or a morning playlist, timed to the sequence of the ritual.
A light menu with chaat, fresh juices and thandai, easy to eat with turmeric on your hands.
The process
We learn how your family does haldi — who applies first, what goes in the paste, which songs are sung.
Décor, layout and props planned around sunlight and the venue's flooring.
Flowers sourced the day before, paste ingredients arranged, protective sheeting and change areas set up at dawn.
Our team runs the ceremony, then clears and resets the venue for the next function of the day.
Options
Indicative starting prices. Your final quote depends on guest count, venue and the details you choose.

We lay protective sheeting under the ritual area, use washable fabrics and keep light upholstery away from the splash zone. Most venues charge a cleaning fee for turmeric stains, so we agree the protection plan with them in advance.
Yes. Haldi usually runs in the morning, with a two-to-three-hour gap for the bride and groom to bathe and rest before the mehendi. We plan the turnaround so décor teams are not working around guests.
Between November and February, hill mornings can be 5-8°C, so we schedule haldi for late morning, use sun-facing lawns and keep warm water, heaters and shawls ready. A covered backup is always on standby.
Many families traditionally hold separate haldis at their own homes, and we can run both on the same morning with two teams. Others prefer a combined haldi at the wedding venue, which is easier on logistics.
Client stories
We wanted a forest wedding without it feeling like a theme park, and Ananya understood that at our first meeting. The haldi was under a mango tree with sal leaves and marigolds, the mandap in soft ivory and brass. The team also dealt with the eco-zone rules on music and fireworks, so we never had to.

My sangeet had 22 performances, a small army of cousins and one very nervous father. The Shrim team ran rehearsals to a proper timetable, did the sound check twice, and got the DJ to switch to old Kishore Kumar songs the moment the elders took the floor. It was the most fun night of the whole wedding.
Neha SharmaWedding, Dehradun
Four hundred guests, two caterers and a baraat that arrived forty minutes late. Tushar handled it all calmly and kept the pheras on muhurat. The food was excellent and reached the last table hot. My only small complaint is that I would have liked the final invoice a little sooner. Otherwise, I could simply be a father that day.
